Interested in joining SAB?
We'd love to have you! Staff interested in joining SAB must run in an annual campus-wide election. These elections take place each spring. The number of open positions changes each year as current members rotate off the board. Elected members serve three year terms.
Keep an eye out for our campus-wide email asking for nominees! We will also add a page about elections to our website when it's time.
For more information about membership eligibility and requirements, visit the Member Requirements page.
Want to help out but don't want to commit to joining SAB?
We know not everyone has the interest to join the Staff Advisory Board on a three year term. But you can still help us achieve our goals and put on our events across campus!
What do volunteers do?
Volunteers have the opportunity to help our work in many different ways. Below are just a few of the ways volunteers might help the Staff Advisory Board:
- Help with SAB events. This might include planning, set-up/breakdown, welcoming guests, etc.
- Serve on University-wide committees as a staff representative
- Help with one time projects that align with your skills/interests
- Suggest something!
Who can be a volunteer?
Staff members in our campus community who have the support of their supervisors may join the volunteer list. SAB will reach out to members on the volunteer list when opportunities arise, and members may volunteer for items they are interested in.
